I HATE UNIFORMS!

December is supposed to be the month at the office where we can wear business casual and not our hideous red and gray uniforms.. but the memo that was supposed to announce this wonderful joyous thing did not arrive.. Not until after Christmas did some of my co-workers start to not wear their uniforms, so I followed suit (pun!) and wore this today. I wish I could’ve done this for the whole month though and not just the last week of it.. Oh well! *))

ps. i love this blazer, the fabric is like the one used in hoodies, but it is not a hoodie, but yes a blazer! I actually just bought this to maximize my shipping fee. Turns out its even better than the jacket I originally bought. a-w-e-s-o-m-e! *))

Fanning fanfare

I've been long since a fan of Dakota Fanning's acting and under-stated but out-there fashion sense.  Now her younger sibling Elle comes out of hiding and steps right into the spotlight.  Here I think we have the makings of another Olsen-esque pair.   If you haven't seen these yet, I just had to share the stunning photos of them taken by Mario Sorrenti, styled by Lori Goldstein for W Magazine's December 2011 issue which they cover.

My favorites are the first (Valentino) which is the cover photo and the last two below especially Elle's Rodarte edgy-modern look paired with those exquisite vintage gloves. Eternal chic!

Valentino

Dior Haute Couture

Chanel

Giambattista Valli Haute Couture

La Parisienne.

Stumbled upon a photo of this book on Daphne Osena-Paez's blog and I just had to search for it.   Parisienne style is something I am really into, from their homes to their clothing, simplicity infused with a vintage/nostalgic feel.   Now I finally have it!  Went out with my bro for some coffee the other night along Katipunan and saw that the Fully Booked store was still open (at around 11 PM).   I asked him to pull over so I could check if they have a copy.  Lo and behold, this is their very last one (!).  It was somewhat battered, probably due to other fans' browsing but I just could not let the chance pass.  So I bought it.  *)   The staff was nice enough though, and offered to have it plastic-wrapped to preserve it's beautiful deep red cover (free of charge!). *)   This book is a real God-send if one is a chronic fan of the Parisian lifestyle.
