A very soundly advice.

Nobody tells this to people who are beginners, I wish someone told me. All of us who do creative work, we get into it because we have good taste. But there is this gap. For the first couple years you make stuff, it’s just not that good. It’s trying to be good, it has potential, but it’s not. But your taste, the thing that got you into the game, is still killer. And your taste is why your work disappoints you. A lot of people never get past this phase, they quit. Most people I know who do interesting, creative work went through years of this. We know our work doesn’t have this special thing that we want it to have. We all go through this. And if you are just starting out or you are still in this phase, you gotta know its normal and the most important thing you can do is do a lot of work. Put yourself on a deadline so that every week you will finish one story. It is only by going through a volume of work that you will close that gap, and your work will be as good as your ambitions. And I took longer to figure out how to do this than anyone I’ve ever met. It’s gonna take awhile. It’s normal to take awhile. You’ve just gotta fight your way through.

Ichigo is Love: Sally and My Heddy.

Friday night is the perfect time to ease out and release some stress built up from a long week of work. My friends Kate, Lizzie found a pair of flats they wanted to buy at Ichigo shoes. This is located at Greenhills Theater mall.  These are the shoes they both got, called the Sally flat.

Kate's are absolutely adorbs. This is mocha but it does look a pale pink in color.

Lizzie got  the black ones which look simply elegant. And cute.

They're very affordable by the way, only Php720-  You can actually get all three colors if you love them that much.

Ichigo also has them in gray which I would have gotten, only there was something in the little shop that caught my eye more than the Sally flat did, which is the subject of this post that I will come to rave about a little later.

On a slightly different note.. My friends at work and I have a thing about friendship stuff; because when we shop, there will always be two of us that have the exact same thing. Not really exactly but the same thing in a different color or a slightly different design. And I think I will post something about that later on. *)

Now going back to the main subject of this post. I saw this cute little (well, not really) bag hanging near the shop's counter.  It was the Heddy bag.

I fell in love instantly.

For me it was the perfect combination of the messenger bag and a little bit of the Chanel chain-style handbags. I love that Ichigo products have a vintage look and feel to them.

The best thing about all of this, which you're probably itching to ask right now is the price. A very, very friendly Php850-!!!!

Ichigo has them in other colors as well, but like all their items, are very limited. I'm partial to the gray one, as this will be my "minimalist trend" purchase. (I like buying one piece of each of the new trends I like that are coming out nowadays. I try to get a taste of a little bit of everything when I can). *)

Now these are for the bold at heart.

I heart this.

By The Sartorialist: On the Street....Some Side Street I Don't Remember The Name Of, Madrid

I just love the over-size sweater pulled over an army-green shirt. There's an androgyny to it.

Purrfection.

That plaid jacket is just insane.    (photo from taylormomsen.net)
